I tried factory reset but ended up putting speaker into weird stationary mode, which locks you out of basically all functions of the unit. If it does, make sure to follow instructions and update it, and if it dosen't just ignore this. ![]() If pressing the power button multiple times does the trick, it is most likely a firmware problem- download the JBL app if you haven't already downloaded, connect to the internet, and then see if the "firmware update" bubble pops up. I've also heard somewhere about pressing the power button 3-8 times, and then holding it until it comes on- I would try pressing it all the way from 3 to 8 times- this did the trick for my XTREME2. This guide is for the FLIP4 though, so it might not work perfectly. When you power down the Xtreme 2 with no charger connected, no lamps light up, as shown next. This is often the best way to restore a bricked speaker, and will fix most issues, it has worked many times for me PlayPause + Vol.Up + Vol.Down -> hard reset (should simulate disconnecting the battery). ![]() Hold down the relevant set of buttons, or do both, 1 after the other. I had a similar case with my XTREME2, and the power button thing and a firmware update fixed it. It may be water damaged, but try these combinations anyways. ![]()
